When is a door not a door? When its a damn monster! Pictures Mangled By: Me |
Sarcomic
Structure
A grinding of
stone on stone. Cracks and pops of stones breaking away from one
another. Shadows pulled away, a door slammed open with force enough
to knock it away from the hinges. An eye, turned on its side,
darkened white, yellow iris, black pupil, and gray lids. The door
frame pulls away from the building, rising on spider legs arranged
radially around an inverted cone. A swift lurching movement, scilla
emerging from the doorway snapping about with agitation. It rushes
forward, ready to go about its work.
Inter-Agency
Memo: Sarcomic
Structures
Agents,
As
you may have heard, it has been confirmed that entities (Coded:
Sarcomic Structures) are directly linked to Reality
Weather shifts.
Specifically, a type of Reality
Weather event termed
City Synchronicity.
During
these events, there is a 5.175947% chance that a doorway in the
vicinity of the event will undergo a Sarcomic
change. The force,
currently under investigation, prefers to effect stone doorways.
The
motivations of these entities appears to be outright destruction,
since there are not reports of them attempting to eat or copulate.
Any appearance of such entities should be treated as an immediate
threat to the well being of the city, with all entities being
destroyed without regard to their behavior.
Strange agents going about their strange business. |
It
must be made clear, that any such doorway could be changed and that
there are currently no means of preventing these changes. Thus, it
has been decided by [REDACTED] that the public should remain unaware
of this situation.
Due
to the low likelihood of the change occurring during an already rare
Reality Weather event,
the public would not benefit from knowledge of a rare event they
would not be capable of preventing. [REDACTED] feels that undue panic
would be caused by revealing this information.
Currently,
a task-force of City
Works Agents and
members of the Real
Workers Combine are
working on a means of prevention as well as to determine the source
of these changes.
It
is suspected that the cause of this phenomena can be linked to
overuse of [REDACTED] bombs by the Unified
City Army during the
Storyteller Wars as
well as the prolific use of [REDACTED] devices/processes by the
Marchen during the same conflicts.

Agents
should also be aware that the entity known as 52-4, is currently
still at large. To be clear, this Sarcomic
Structure is
considered highly dangerous, and has already brought about the deaths
of 22 agents as of the date of this memo. All possible information
about the current whereabouts of 52-4, be it sworn citizen testimony
or simple rumor, should immediately be brought to the attention of
hive supervisors.

must make another save versus Breath to avoid the whipping scilla.
Sarcomic
Structures do not need to eat, sleep, drink, or breath. They are

Entity
52-4
This
being's name comes from the address of the door that the Sarcomic
Structure had formed from (52-4 Toreon FtW (Foot Way)). Since its
birth over two years ago, it has gained in power and intelligence.
52-4 will always flee if it feels that a battle is too dangerous.
52-4 is capable of manipulating its environment to lay traps for
anyone attempting to track/chase it. Its motivations remain unclear
as it avoids contact with others of its kind as well as the citizens
of the city. Due to its high level of intelligence, it may be able to
communicate, though there are no reports of it attempting to
communicate with others.
